Costume

For our thriller we are planning to use three different outfits to which have different meanings.

The protagonist is going to be wearing an oversize black coat, this ensure that there identity is withheld from the viewer making it difficult to identify if it is a women or a man. The website 'Tvtropes.com' says that black is perhaps the most typical color for evil, or at least the antagonists, to wear. Thus in many stories, the villains will wear largely black clothing most of the time, in contrast to the colors worn by neutral and good characters (which will be at least lighter). This is because in many cultures, black is the color of darkness and death.

Both of the young girls in our thriller will be wearing either much lighter colours or will be wearing a range of different colours, we are planning to ensure that their outfits represent a young lower class generation.
